Habits in your routine that causes Acne Breakouts

1. Excess Washing:

Over-scrubbing and washing your facial skin frequently makes it dry and inflammation prone, leading to blisters because of swelled unclogged pores. Excess exfoliation should also be avoided limiting to once or twice a week.

2. Unwashed Make-up tools:

The strands and bristles of brushes attract all types of dirt, oil and bacteria that can boost acne and other skin related infections. Make up brushes should be washed thoroughly once per week to free the impurities and make-up residue.

3. Ignoring Sweaty skin:

Your skin becomes sweaty and acne-prone after a vigorous work-out or long exposure in the sun. Sweaty clothes can seal the dead skin cells and the friction with skin can cause zits. Don’t ignore the sweat by letting it dry, instead wash or have a bathe quickly to get rid of it.

4. Hair Products:

Usage of hair products with harsh chemicals or skin-irritating ingredients can promote the acne. Hair products can come in contact indirectly with the face and may seep in, clogging the skin pores resulting in acne eruption.

5. Cheap Cosmetic Products:

Low quality beauty items can cause zits and aggravate the existing bumps. When it comes to your skin, prefer good quality and branded products always by paying a little extra. In the temptation of saving a little, you might end up losing a lot over costly skin treatments.

6. Stress Level:

Higher stress level induces stress hormones that produce higher oil in skin. It serves as a breeding farm for pimple breakouts. Ample sleep, Mediation, Exercise, and ‘Keep calm and carry on’ is the mantra to keep your stress levels in check.

7. Daily Diet:

An overall unhealthy diet including oily, spicy, sugary, fried food is guaranteed to give you acne. Occasionally eating such foods is not likely to mess with your skin but Sticking to a regular healthy diet will result in healthy skin.

8. Touching and Picking:

Touching the face often can be an acne trigger because of the bacteria the hands bring. Picking and squeezing pimples can worsen the breakouts as well as give leave acne scars and blemishes. It might be irresistible to pluck the pimple but it’s better to keep the hands-off!
